Hey friends!  It’s Jung here, and today I created a layout for sketch Friday!  I am using the May 2019 kits.  I used the Main kit, Embellishment kit, and the cardstock kit.

Here is this week’s sketch:

I love a good diagonal circle layout, so this sketch was right up my alley!  I was also challenged to create a project with a white background, and to use lots of layers and create texture.

Here is my take on the sketch:

 I created lots of layers with my circles.  There are lots of circles popped up with foam squares, there are some glued straight to the white yardstick, and there are 2 circles that I cut out of the white cardstock ahead of time (using my silhouette cameo), and I asked them with pattern paper and foam tape.

I also created a frame for my photo with circle metal dies, and I added some texture with machine stitching, and depth by popping it up with foam tape.

I created more texture by roughening up the edges of some of the circles.  I also stitched through a few of the circles with the + patterns as well.

On some of the elements, I add foam tape to just the top of the embellishment, and glue the bottom of the embellishment with liquid glue.  I did that with the hand sticker (which I backed with white cardstock, and fussy cut out).  It makes the embellishment look like it’s popping off the page in a little different way then had I added foam tape to the entire embellishment.  I hope that makes sense, lol!

There were so many elements that were perfect for a school themed girl layout…the lightbulb and the kitty notebook from the HKC exclusive ephemera pack are so perfect to highlight my daughter’s Honor Roll awards!

I love how my layout turned out, and I hope you do as well.  It turned out so girly, and fun, and I love the sketchy vibes of the Crate Paper collection!
