Hi everyone, Anke here with you sharing a new layout. The April Kits are still on their way so I used the beautiful March Kits. The assignment for today was to create a monochromatic layout. So I went through the papers and embellishments to see which ones would match my photo.
I decided to use the mint green side of the Maggie Holmes Sunny Days Solstice Gold Foil Paper and embellishments in the same color, combined with some black and white. I started with cutting fringed paper strips which I sewed on my cardstock.

Then I glued my photo on this fringe background using foam pads to make it stand out. Around the photo I arranged the embellishments: circles, cut out from the Sunny Days Parasol Paper, photo corners and other die cuts from the Color Fresh Ephemera Pack which is included in the March Pocket Life Kit, chipboard pieces and stickers from the March Main Kit and the Embellishment Kit.
Above and below the fringe background I placed more die cuts, stickers and the title.
Finally I added some black watercolor splatters.
