Are you like me & have an excess of alpha stickers & puffies? Today my theme challenge was to find a way to alter them in such a way that uses up odds & left overs in a creative way.
And…wait for it….
I even videoed the process, which was quite a long one allowing for drying time, GO ME!
Home is with You by Kim Watson
Want to create layouts like this? Our monthly kits include coordinated papers, embellishments, and supplies to bring your scrapbook pages to life.

I decided to crack open the December 2018 add-on color kit.
These are the supplies you will need:
- Extra puffy stickers
- Gesso
- Dazzlerz: Spun Sugar
- Inklingz: The Holly & The Ivy
- Vibez: Snow Way Man

Creating a mixed media background using the above supplies was oh-so-messy & oh-so-fun! Plus in the process you get to use up extra puffy stickers that you have lying around. So no more guilt when opening up yet another new alpha sticker set LOL.

Layers of patterned paper, fussy cut paper flowers, & chipboard make for super 3D clusters. I was desperate to use that adorable PFS mouse image…taa-daa! Isn’t he cute?

Journaling typed onto paper strips worked well here, not only adding further dimension, but I liked the design feature they added, by randomising their positions.

The title is a mixture of puffy stickers & a fussy cut house. The adhesive isn’t too sucessful on this type of mixed media background, so I machine stitched to guarantee they stay put! Adding sequins machine stitched with zig-zag, adds subtle interest, as does the addition of many of the clear sticker words that were included in the December 2018 PL-kit add-on I love how they resemble stamped words without the fear of making a botch, & as we all know, I can be seriously stamping challenged. So right now…clear stickers ROCK my world!

Any-hoo…there you have it. I hope you have been inspired to get messy with those extras?
Have an awesome Wednesday friends!

Alpha stickers are such a versatile embellishment – they work just as well on handmade cards as they do on layouts. If you want a steady supply of alphas and other embellishments, take a look at our best scrapbooking kits roundup.
