Hello Hip Kit friends, it’s Vicki with you today and I have a new layout made using just the gorgeous December 2018 kit. I had a really cute selfie of my sister, my nieces and me that I really wanted to scrap. It was just a cute opportunity for us all to be in the same photo, there was no real story behind it.

I wanted to add some dimensional embellishments that I’d made myself and I decided to make some 3D stars from the papers in the kit. They are super easy to make – I just drew around a template and then scored lines to each point and also to each ‘V’. When you fold each score line in and out, it creates the 3D effect. You can see exactly how in my process video on my channel here.

I tore and layered up papers to match the three colours of stars and splattered them with some orange/red and white paints before layering up the photo and the embellishments along with some fussy cut flowers.

I finished off with some exclusive puffy stickers for the title. I hope it gives you some inspiration if the main kit is the only one you get. Here are some close ups so that you can see the dimensional star.
