Hi all and Merry Christmas! I am so happy to be here on this special day sharing part of my December project. Today I am bringing to you Days 11 through 14.

Day 11 was a classic four pocket spread. I filled the pockets with two photos, a card, and some gold sequins. On the left, for Day 13, I used two pockets. Everything, except for the white alpha stickers and sequins, are from the December Documented Kit.

Want to create layouts like this? Our monthly kits include coordinated papers, embellishments, and supplies to bring your scrapbook pages to life.
For Days 13 and 14, I filled the back of the two pockets and then added a 6×8 traditional style layout. On Day 13 I decided to try out an idea for some hidden journaling. Here is a closeup:

If you look closely, you can see that the bottom of the star journaling card is sticking up-this is because I created a flip pocket. Basically, I cut down a piece of white cardstock to measure 3×8. After I scored it down the middle, I was able to fit the bottom half of the cardstock in the pocket and the top half hung over the pocket. After typing the story on the bottom half, I slipped it in the pocket, flipped the top half of the cardstock down, and adhered the 3×4 card to the top.

I really liked how this turned out. My only change will be to use a thinner piece of cardstock next time-I think this will make the fold less bulky and help it to lay flatter. Here’s a look at the right side:

Well I hope this post finds you all still moving right along in your albums. I have gotten a bit behind due to a weeks worth of sickness, but now that I am on the mend I am hoping to pick up some momentum! Wishing you a wonderful and merry day!
