Do you ever look at the official school photos of your children with the (usual) solid & sometimes weird backgrounds and lots of school related props? I found some from when the children were little & thought they would be great add to their individual albums, but choosing this time to scrap them in a fresh, non-themed way. I selected one of Cassidy when she was 6 & using the August 2018 kits, this is the result.
With the blue background being so dominant, I stuck to a clean, bright white page with pops of color for balance.
The gold stars & gold stickers add a special touch to the top of the photo & floral clusters.
Pretty layers with some white leaf die cuts add subtle texture & lovely dimension.
The mixture of ephemera, chipboard, and stickers not only make the layers more texturally more interesting but contribute to the dimension being from different substrates.
I adore the pretty sophisticated result, perfect to coordinate with the other pages in the album & even though the photograph colors are bold…the subtle colors in the rest of the page balance it out perfectly. I can’t wait to do some for my sons album too.
Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome weekend further.
