Hello Hip Kit fans! Today I am excited to share a “Main Kit Only” layout with you. What this means is that I limited myself to just the contents of the May Main Kit when I sat down to make today’s layout. I also further “challenged” myself by using this month’s mood board to inspire the direction I wanted to go with my page. If you haven’t seen the mood board already, here is a look at it:

When using a mood board as inspiration, there are many ways you can go. For this project, I had my photos picked out ahead of time and even though I loved the color scheme of the board, it didn’t really work with what I had in mind. The next thing that I really adored about the mood board, was the quote from “The Wonder Years.” I think overall this quote really defines my reason for documenting and I thought it would be pretty sweet if I included it right on my layout.

A second element that I liked from the mood board, were the paint splatters. These are super easy to incorporate into a layout and since I was going there, I also used the mixed media stickers included in the main kit.

I also want to note that I chose to incorporate an Avery Index Tab that I pulled from my own stash into my layout–these are not included in the kit.  Thanks for stopping by today and if you choose to make a project based off of this month’s mood board, please share it with us!
