Hello everyone. Do you like our Mixed Media Mondays as much as we do? Those posts are always jam-packed with beautiful inspirations and many of the girls have a process videos included. And we know how much you like watching DT during their creative process. So grab a cup of coffee and join Anna and Jana today.
Hello crafty friends. It’s Anna here with a first part of inspiration. My November kits are on their way so I am still playing with October Kits and I still have plenty of stuff to use. October kits are great for all those fall pictures that include perfect combination of yellows, reds, browns and dark greens. And did you see all those pretty cut files that combines perfectly with the kits?
I took a sheet of watercolor paper and cut a bunch of leaves designed by Kim Watson. I placed them exactly as they are in the cut file because I wanted to use both background paper and leaves. After cut was done I took 12*12 paper and backed the leaf shaped holes with patterned papers from Main Kit and some cardstock from Cardstock Kit.
I painted my leftover leaves using watercolors and Shimmerz paints included into the Color Kit.
Aren’t those big chipboard words from “Star gazer” collection just fabulous? Making a title with them is so easy. You can find them in Embellishment Kit. I painted mine with golden Inklingz from Color Kit.
With all this busy background I didn’t need much to embellish the picture. Few leaves and flowers from “Escape the ordinary” collection by Pinkfresh Studio were more than enough. I love the final result and I am ready to move to some Christmas projects. Can’t it for my November kits to arrive.
I also have a process video for you:
Let’s give a voice to Jana. I am sure she made something magical.
Hi everyone, Jana here with my Mixed Media Monday Layout for you!
I am also still working with the October 2017 Kits and i am still in love! I started my Page with one of the 12×12″ Watercolor Papers and my leftover leaves (Cutfile from Kim Watson) from last weeks Layout.
Heavy Acrylic Paint for the first layer of color, used it as a “glue” for my leaves. I pressed them into the Color and added a second layer of color over them. I really love how this looks! The Shimmerz Paints from the Color Kit are awesome, i used the Lapis Dance Creameez Watercolor and the Old Yeller Inklings Shimmering Watercolor.
The Wood Veneer Leaves from the Project Life kit are one of my favorite Items this month! I wish i had a TON of them… so, after i added a lot of paint and leaves to my background i started to decorate my little photo.
Look at this cutie with the bear had! I love his face here, i guess he was annoyed of me, taking so many pictures! The little blue puffy stickers from Bella Blvd. are perfect for little details of blue, they are included in the Main Kit.
The big chipboard words from Dear Lizzy are awesome and just beautiful! I used it in white and i love the contrast to the blue in the background!
