Hi Hip Kit Club friends!
It’s sketch Friday time again- this means that you’ll find a sketch below and several interpretations from the HKC Design Team members. Today you’ll see Tarrah’s and Evelyn’s interpretation here on the blog – but don’t forget to check out the Member Forum on Facebook to see what Tanya, Terhi and Jung have created! You’ll also find great inspiration from Dona on the official Facebook page.
Here is the fabulous sketch designed by Missy Whidden:
- Tarrah’s layout
I decided to add lots of layers and use lots of product that was included in the September 2017 Main and Add-On kits! I started out cutting one of the August cut files using my Silhouette Cameo. I then used some foam tape underneath the cut file once I backed it with some patterned paper. This circular piece represents the large circle in the sketch, this is also where I wanted the main focus to be as it would hold my photo.
I pulled out lots of the circular elements from the September 2017 Hip Kits that I knew could represent some of the other circles in the sketch. Not only did I use round pieces, I also layered some of the beautiful flower cluster die-cut pieces too. The Turn the Page collection by Pink Paislee/Paige Evans is so beautiful!
My new favourite product are those adorable suede bows by Amy Tangerine from the Hustle and Heart collection! I just had to add one to the front of the also adorable chipboard birdhouse!
I hope I have inspired you to get creating with your Hip Kit Club kits and the sketch for this week?!
See Evelyn’s lovely layout below!
Happy creating!

2. Evelyn’s layout
This is my layout according to the sketch. I use the sketch to inspire me to create a layout in 8×11 size. I didn’t use those circles in the background but I choose to use some circle embellishments in my layout. I also didn’t use two photos but use one photos and use one frame plus one square card, layer them together near my photo.
It’s ok to create a layout not really same with the sketch! Be creative and make it yours.
Thank you for stopping by the Hip Kit Club blog today!
Happy creating!
Evelyn
So fun and gorgeous!
