Felt bows and cut apart sheet with Felicity, Corrie and Jung

Hello Hip Kit Club fans,

Today, we have Felicity, Corrie and Jung sharing ways to use the Amy Tangerine felt bows and the Pink Paislee/Paige Evans cut apart sheet, which are both included in the September 2017 Main Kit.

Ready for some inspiration?

Felicity

Hello lovely people, Felicity here today.

I’m seriously digging the felt bows and the cut apart sheet in the Hip kit club September kit.

The best thing about the cut apart sheet is that when you cut the paper up you have cards that are 4 x 6 and 3 x 4 which are perfect fit for your project life spreads.

I also loved being able to cute the little sentiments out and using them as features on the photos. Another bonus is that because you are using the one piece of paper, everything will flow very easily, with pattern and colour.

I couldnt help but also use a few of the cards as flaps, to create extra interest and interaction and also use the paper clips in the project life kit to adhere it there.

How could I also not use the super cute felt bows a feature on my spread too.  All I used the colour kit, the shimmerz sprays, underneath the felt bows, to add a little more depth.

I just love this spread, how vibrant and easy flowing it was to create, whilst focusing on the felt bows and cut a part sheet.

Here is also my process video to see how it came together

Corrie

Hi everyone! Corrie here! I, too, have a way to use the Pink Paislee cut apart sheet and the Felt Bows included in the September 2017 kits.

I love the little banners, especially the one that says “allow more JOY in your life” so I cut these all out. Then I used the pieces as a guide to cut three more banner pieces out of different patterned papers to layer.

I stitched the banner pieces down and topped them off with the adorable felt bows.

I wanted to really emphasize joy on this page and decided that all the wonderful die cut, chipboard, and puffy sticker flowers included in the kits would be perfect, so I added them around my photo and also sprinkled across the page.

I really love how this page turned out and how the banner from the cut apart sheet really directed this entire page.

Jung

Hi friends & welcome!  It’s Jung here with a layout to share with you.  Like Felicity and Corrie, I will be using the Pink Paislee cut apart sheet (Paige Evans paper 01) and the Amy Tangerine felt bows, which are included in the September 2017 Main kit.

My daughter started middle school this year, and Paige Evans’ turn the page collection is perfect to document this milestone.  Ready. Set. Go.

I decided I wanted to  add some mixed media on this page.  I watercolored the top of my white cardstock, and used the Ruby Shimmerz from the September 2017 color kit for some added splatter.

I wanted to draw your eye up to the mixed media, so I decided to center my photo and cards towards the upper half of my page.  I am a big fan of white/negative space, so I loved the look of everything clustered at the top, and then my title, journal, and a few embellishments toward the bottom.

The 3×4 cut-outs are perfect as an embellishment, but make great layering pieces as well.  I also added the red flag, some floral pieces, and a couple paper airplanes that I fussy cut from the cut apart paper.

I added some paper stars that I also cut out from another Paige Evans paper.  It ties in well with the “the future is bright” embellishment and the school theme.  I wanted to add more stars, but in a subtle way, so I used the star stamp from the Paige Evans stamp set that was included in the September 2017 Embellishment kit with pink ink for some tone on tone action.  For a final touch, I added a few of the cute felt bows.

I love how this page turned out, and I love, love, love my title.  Isn’t that exclusive Hip Kit Club gold alpha fantastic?!
