Hello Hip Kits fans! Today we are going to focus in some of our favorite mini embellishments in the kits and share some inspiring ideas on how you can use them.
Ashley
Hey everyone!
Ashley here, sharing a fun project with you all, featuring the August 2017 kits. This is my last roject with these kits, and I have to say, I still have tons of product left. I’m so excited to add to my stash and continue to create with all of the amazingness!
I created a 12×12 project life spread using a few of the HKC Exclusive cards from the Project Life Kit.I adhered some of the photos, and started with my embellishing.
Today’s focus was small embellishments. I used tons of the sequins, along with the jeweled stars to add more interest around my spread. I also used a few of the smaller card stock sticker hearts to for more detail.
For my title card, I used some of the HKC Exclusive alphas from the Main Kit. If you don’t have numbers in your set, just use letters, as I did!
This spread was super fun and simple to put together. I hope y’all gain some inspiration and will share how you’re using the August kits!
Oh! and don’t forget to check out my process video–down below!
XOXO

Zinia
Hey there, it’s Zinia here. I was really inspired and excited with this product focus cause I really love working with small embellishments. Hip Kits includes a variety of products every month and there’s always a package of little tiny goodies.
To create this page I was actually inspired by an older layout I created for Creativity magazine, where I had all sorts of little embellishments floating around a circular shape. I decided to turn it to the next stage and use the same technique with an ampersand.
I traced the shape with a pencil and then I added a little bit of color using the sprays from the July 2017 color kit. Once that was dry I started adding all sorts of little embellishments from the different July kits like epoxy stickers, chipboard, wood veneer, puffy stickers, brads and more.
To make my design fuller, I fussy cut a couple of flowers from a Dear Lizzy paper that came in the July main kit.
This technique is amazing to use up any leftover bits you have from past kits or older collections. It’s like creating a vortex of random pretty things that are seemingly irrelevant but they work together beautifully creating a stunning layout.
I really hope you enjoyed them and you got inspired to create something with your kits. Make sure to stop by the HKC Facebook page and the HKC Member Forum for even more inspiration.
Until next time, happy scrapping🙂
