So happy together | Anna Komenda

Hello Hip Kit fans. It’s Anna here with some new layout created with July 2016 Hip Kits.

First I want to tell You a little about what I do when my mojo is low. It’s one of my few methods and it can be used with kits or paper collections. I just pick one or two colors that are present in the kit / collection and I choose every single element that fits my color scheme. I run through papers, ephemera packs, stickers and I group everything in one place.

This is what I did with July kits. First – I chose this gorgeous ombre blue exclusive paper designed by Kim Watson. I really liked it and wanted to use but I didn’t have any particular plan. I checked exclusive ephemeras pack from Main Kit and Embellishment Kit looking for some blue / white elements. I put them in one place. Later I decided that I will add a little bit of silver by using Freckled Fawn puffy metallic stickers.

When I decided of a color palette I walked through my printed photos (I always print more pictures to use in future projects) I chose two that matched my paper. White Bella Blvd. chipboard stickers were also a perfect match with my photos and other stuff.

I wanted to add some subtile detail to the background so I took a vellum sheet from Cardstock Kit and cut heart background using  July “I heart this” cut file designed by Ashley Horton. Teal glitter was some stronger, eye catching accent that I decided to add too. “Fancy free” wooden elements were covered with teal glitter so I used them in my composition.

Project Life “High five” little chipboards were like cherry on the top for my layout. You can find them in Project Life Kit.

And that’s all. Really fast and simple, even when Your mojo is low. I encourage You to try this “go monochromatic” method to high up You mojo and strech Your kits.
