Hello Hip Kit fans! Anita here today to share how I used the July 2016 kits to create a monthly planner spread and a new page for my Project Life album. I love that there are so many versatile products in the Hip Kits each month and they can be used for so many different types of projects. This month I pulled a few items from the Project Life Kit and Embellishment Kit to dress up my monthly planner spread. I use my monthly spread as an overview and quick reference of what’s going on throughout the month so I chose some fun embellishments to make our special events and appointments pop off the page. I used the exclusive washi tape strips from the Project Life Kit to block off days for travel and also used them as decorative elements at the top of the spread. I then used the Amy Tangerine enamel hearts (also from the Project Life Kit) to mark off appointments and events throughout the month. Finally, I added a scalloped die cut as a decoration at the top and several exclusive Hip Kit puffy stickers throughout the calendar. Here’s how it turned out:
I also used the July 2016 Hip Kits to create a new page for my Project Life album. I pulled together some fun photos of me and my husband that were taken earlier this month and decided to use them as the main focus for my page. I then chose one of the exclusive patterned papers from the Paper Kit and cut it up into squares for my pocket page. I also cut and added one of the cards from this month’s Project Life Kit that coordinated well with the rest of the spread. I absolutely LOVE the Project Life High Five chipboard embellishments by American Crafts this month and knew I wanted to use them on this page. So, I used a lot of them in the various pockets and love how they stand out on the page! The result is a fun page that I can’t wait to add to my Project Life album!
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you are inspired to find fun, new ways to use the items in your kits on your projects. Have a great week and happy crafting!
