Adventure | Christin Grønnslett

Hello everyone. Christin here today to share with you my first layout with the July 2016 kits.  This summer we haven’t gone on big adventures. just smaller ones like going fishing and my grandma’s house (she is 94 years old and is still living at home )

Sorry that I forgot to take a picture of my background, but I can explain a little what I did.  There are three different kinds of colors/paints in the kit (Shimmerz Paints and Dylusions Paints) and I just mixed them with water and together to get different shades of grey or keep the yellow to match the green grass in the photo. That way I felt the orange in the photo could stand out much more.  To get some contrast in my background I used distress ink with the Stencils in the July 2016 Color kit.

When I do layers I like to either go tone on tone or create contrasts so the different layers don’t get lost.

For my title I painted the white Bella Blvd title with black distress stains to get a more watercolor effect.

A few more pictures. When I work with layers I often prefer to mix the different shapes, I don’t like to have all my layers square but mix with round edges, circles and other shapes to make it a little more interesting.
