Hi friends! It’s Tuesday again and that means I’m back with two more projects using the Hip Kit Club June 2016 kits! This week I decided to create another hybrid Project Life spread using my Midori Travelers Notebook. I usually use my travelers notebooks to collect bits and pieces from our travels and save them so I can use these books as a reference for where we went, what we ate and what we did. This is the place where I adhere business cards, pieces of brochures and menus and any other random ephemera I might pick up during my trip. I have a few trips from earlier this year that I need to catch up on so this week I’m sharing a spread I made for one of our trips to Atlanta. I already put several photos in a traditional Project Life spread but I didn’t have a place for my ticket stubs, wrist bands and brochures so I’m putting those in my Travelers Notebook. If I ever want to go back to a restaurant in a particular city or give recommendations to friends, this book is my reference guide!
Here’s the spread I created. I used a few of the cards in the June Project Life Kit, cut them up to use as embellishments and journaling spots and adhered them in the book. I then added the Jillibean Soup navy letters to designate the date, an American Crafts Project Life die cut, a few clear Simple Stories Carpe Diem stickers and a chipboard circle from Heidi Swapp. Finally, I added a couple of small photos and wrote out my journaling to document our adventures.
The second project I’m sharing today is a new spread in my Listers Gotta List planner for the month of June. This is another fun form of memory keeping and a great way to get your creative juices flowing. I used several cards from this month’s Project Life kit and embellished them with the exclusive Hip Kit puffy stickers and the colorful word strip stickers from Simple Stories’ Sunshine and Happiness collection. I then printed this month’s listers prompts from The Reset Girl and added my journaling. I’ve been doing this project for several months now and love looking back at all of my lists. There are many formats you can use for this project but I’ve really been enjoying using Project Life cards and this particular planner to house my lists for each month.
Thanks so much for stopping by to check out my projects. Hope you’re having a great week and happy crafting!
