Planner Girl Cara here today to help keep you organised and motivated!
Is any one else asking themselves how the heck it’s almost July already? We are half way through 2016?!??! What?
I usually take a look back at the end of every month to see what I’ve done towards the goals I’ve set for myself. June marks the halfway point so it’s even more important that I check in with my progress.
Like most people I set resolutions in January, but unlike most people I have a plan attached to those resolutions. And at the end of each month I review my progress on my goals for the year. Who says you have to accomplish it all by January 15th! I give myself the whole year.
Here is my monthly spread for June now that the month is just about over and the days are all filled in, reflecting what our lives were like in this season of our bustling family. You can see more about this spread in my previous blog post.
I’ll be doing a scope later today to review June and 2016 so far, so feel free to join me. If you are reading this anytime after June 29, you can always catch the replay. If you aren’t on periscope, hop on over and watch a few, there are so many planner girls!
Now let’s have a peek at the projects I made for this week 😀
I made this fun little charm by sticking the 2 Maggie Holmes rubber tags back to back and adding lots of goodies. Including another rubber embellishment, some enamel dots and a couple of ‘new’ bradz from Simple Stories, Some exclusive puffy stickers by Kim Watson and a couple of silvery hearts by Heidi Swapp. I hung it from the elastics in my Dori using a cute matching ribbon from my stash but you could use a chain or some yarn, as well.
This adorable shaker clip was cooked up with some goodies from the May kits and I made it live on periscope. You can watch the replay here and make your own. I used a frame from Simple Stories, a chipboard sticker and enamel hearts from the Illustrated Faith line from Bella Blvd and a few enamel dots from Echo Park’s Summer Party line. Then I backed it all with a square cut from one of the exclusive PL cards.
My spread for this week makes me giddy just looking at it and this is before the pen! I took some of my favourite bits from the June kits and made myself a ‘happy’! I punched some squares from 2 gorgeous patterned papers, the Pink Paislee Paige Evans paper 06 and the Written From the Heart sheet from the Everyday line, that is exclusive to Hip Kit. I used a couple of exclusive die cuts including that absolutely perfect typewriter! The accents are either from the Alpha and word sheet from Simple Stories’ Sunshine & Happiness line or their Carpe Diem clear stickers.
I hope that the first half of your year has been wonderful! Let’s plan the second half to be AWESOME!!
