Plan your day withthe Hip Kit Club

Hi there! I’m Cara and I’m new around here! Well, new to the Design Team but definitely not to the Hip Kit Club, I’ve had a subscription for evah and I skip all the way up the driveway after I’ve signed the postman’s cool techy thing for my HKC box that I then immediately tear open, turquoise tissue flying, oohing and awwing, getting completely inspired but every last thing inside.

Ok, I’ve got some fun stuff to show you, but first a little about me. I’ll try to keep it short and sweet so we can get right to the pretty crafty pictures.

I’m a scrapbooker, and planner girl and I also love to sew. My current obsession is planners. I’ve used a planner since I was about 8, but now that I get to combine my love of organisation and papercrafting I’m in my own personal heaven, where the cloudy walls are lined with patterned paper and washi!

spread

I’m letting you peek inside my planner, I used the February main kit to doll it up (still waiting on the April skip up the driveway). Lovin’ how the soft pinks and mints look with the gold. For the most part I used the ephemera pack and cut-apart sheet from Pink Paislee. But, I used bits of the other papers too.

The best thing about using these kits for a planner spread is that you don’t need much so there’s still lots left over for other projects and the planner looks amazing!

I fussy cut some of the flowers from the cut apart sheet and placed them amongst the die cuts on the spread. I used hole punches as the check list at the top of the right page. Those things are jumpy when they come flying out of the cropadile! I never really noticed until I tried to save them.

clips-and-bookmark

I made some planner clips from some die cuts and a bookmark from one of the transparency tags.

clips

The clips are simple but oh so pretty, just glued onto a gold clip.

bookmark

The tag bookmark is reversible so it looks cute whatever side you are looking at in my planner.

I cut up some of the ephemera and cards from the cut apart to fit the teeny canvas, added some ribbon, enamel dots from the kit and presto, super cute!  I punched 3 holes so that the top of the tag will stick up out of the top of the my planner so that it’ll always be easy to find ‘today’. There are also slits cut into the holes so that it’s super easy to pull it off the rings and move it around in my planner.

I hope you all enjoyed this little peek into my planner and that you will use your Hip Kit to dress up your planner.

As soon as my April kit comes I will be doing the  tear open  unboxing live on Periscope, fingers, toes, legs and eyes all crossed for today, or at least tomorrow. So please, come follow me there so you can join in the fun! periscope.tv/caravincens See you there!
