One of the advantages of doing monthly Project Life as opposed to weekly is you you can include as little or as much detail as you desire. I like the include two-page spreads of my kids and my husband and myself throughout the year just to catch glimpse of what that person is like currently. I used my January Main Kit, the January PL add on, and the January Embellishment add on to make this two page spread about my 5 and a half year old daughter.
I wanted to use up some of the prettier large papers from the main kit so I settled on making one side of this Project Life spread a 12×12 scrapbook layout.
The alphas in the kits were calling to me. I’m a sucker for long titles so I settled on one of my favorite quotes from F. Scott Fitzgerald.
I used the January Cardstock add on to matte the patterned papers from the main kit. I liked the contrast the dark paper provided all the different layers.
On the pocket page side, I gathered some of my favorite pictures of her this year so far, as well as a picture of her bike she’s currently obsessed with.
I kept things pretty simple and embellished minimally since the layout on the other side of the spread is so busy.
No spread is complete with out sewing machine stitching for added texture. It’s my favorite way to finish off a page.
