The countdown has begun! With just 4 days until Christmas, I sat down with the December kit and Embellishment Add On to create this holiday page. While the kit isn’t holiday themed, it was easy enough to use the elements and a cut file to tell this Christmas photo story.
This faceted alphabet reminded me of holiday lights, while the transparency stands in for twinkling lights on the tree. I love the contrast between the script gold font and the blocky faceted letters. Contrast is a good thing in a title!
To add some movement to the design, I used modeling paste and a tiny star stencil to the top of the tree. It gives the top of the tree a nice “snowy” effect.
The flexibility of Hip Kits is my favorite part of receiving it each month. I know that it will fit the story I want to tell – themed or not.
