Happy Day | Adrienne Alvis

Good morning, everyone! I’m here today with a layout I created using the December 2015 Hip Kits.

I had this photo of myself enjoying a Starbuck’s after a busy day of Christmas shopping so I decided to document the rare moment of bliss, lol! I started with my photo and layered it on top of the black and white alpha sticker sheet from Studio Calico.

I love the contrast my black and white photo has against the colors on the Seven Paper patterned paper, so I used the wonky black and white striped  paper (also from Studio Calico) and one of the December 2015 cut files to create the triangle shapes to add to my black and white theme.

I used one of the Maggie Holmes Shine Collection Chipboard pieces (available in the December 2015 Main Kit) to frame my journaling that I printed on vellum and placed it to the right of my photo.

I stitched the “Love” acetate ephemera piece that’s available in the December 2015 Embellishment Kit using my sewing machine under the sticker sheet and embellished around my photo with more ephemera pieces from the Shine Collection by Maggie Holmes.

I really adore all of the bright, beautiful colors in the December 2015 Hip Kits! They work so well with my everyday photos, yet can be used for documenting holiday events as well!

Thanks for stopping by this morning and I hope you have a wonderful day and a very Merry Christmas!
