Hello Hip Kit Friends,
Today I’m sharing a double page layout I created with the July Hip Kits!
I opted for a double page layout, as I had several photos to scrap, and I also wanted to use the stencil from the July Color Kit as well as create some embellishment clusters!

I layered my photos on patterned paper panels on the vertical edges of the layout. I used the stencil with the Distress Crayons from the Color Kit – I applied two of the crayons to cellophane and activated them with water. I applied them directly onto the cardstock using a paintbrush. I mixed the two shades together as I went along, making sure that I didn’t over-saturate the cardstock, as I didn’t prime it with gesso.
Next, I added the vellum leaves from the Embellishment Kit alongside the photos.
I added a small embellishment cluster on both sides using cardstock diecuts, puffy stickers and foam stickers.
I added the title at the top and completed the layout with a few scattered tropical flowers.
I love how my layout turned out – the colors in this month’s kit complimented my photos perfectly!
