Hi everyone and Happy New Year. I’m here to share a new layout inspiration featuring the December 2023 Hip Kits. For my layout I used the “Ranger Superfine White Embossing Powder” which is included in the December Color Kit and some of our exclusive metal dies, the “December 2023 Snowflake Tree Metal Die”, the “December 2022 Layered Snowflakes Metal Die” and the “December 2022 Snowflake Cluster Metal Die” .
First I cut some trees from white cardstock using the “December 2023 Snowflake Tree Metal Die”. Then I colored the trees using green ink pads and a blending brush.
Then I cut snowflakes from white cardstock using the “December 2022 Snowflake Cluster Metal Die” and the “December 2022 Layered Snowflake Metal Die”. Both dies are still available.
I heat embossed the snowflakes using the “Ranger White Superfine Embossing Powder”, which is included in the December Color Kit. Therefore I pressed the snowflake die cuts on an ink pad with embossing ink, added the embossing powder and melted the powder with a heat tool. That gave the snowflakes a beautiful glossy texture.
I wanted to have snow on my trees. Therefore I also used the embossing powder . I didn’t want to cover the whole tree, so instead of using the ink pad to apply the embossing ink, I used an embossing pen. The embossing pen allows you to apply the ink more precisely.
I fussy cut houses and trees from the “Hip Kit Club Exclusive – Cozy Adventures – Outdoor Fun” paper. Then I cut off a piece of the “Essential Solids – Below Zero Cardstock”, which is included in the December Cardstock Kit and glued it on my layout. On this background I arranged the trees, the snowflakes and the fussy cut elements and adhered them.
Then I added my photo. I didn’t use the whole photo, I just cut out the dogs and myself. I placed the photo on the layout combined with two house stickers from the “Mini Puffy Shape Stickers” pack, which is included in the December Embellishment Kit. I also added word die cut from the “Cozy Adventures – Chipboard Die Cuts” pack, which is also included in the December Embellishment Kit.
I picked out some die cuts from the “Cozy Adventures – Cardstock Ephemera” pack, which you can find in the December Main Kit. One of them I chose for my title.
Then I added three puffy stars from the “Puffy Star Stickers” pack, which you can find in the December Embellishment Kit.
I continued embellishing the layout with some of the “Adhesive Pearl Stickers”, which are included in the December Embellishment Kit and I finished with three more puffy stickers…
…and some Nuvo Drops from my stash.
This is the finished layout. I hope you like it and feel inspired to add some mixed media accents to your next project
