Hello, friends! I’m excited to share my new layout featuring the February 2023 Hip Kits. I focused on using the February Main Kit, and I absolutely adore all the exclusives this month! I also used the Slimline Lattice Background Metal Die. I love the texture this adds! A link to the full process video is at the end of this post. How have you started using your February kits yet? I started this layout by using the Slimline Lattice Background Metal Die to cut three colors of patterned paper from the February Main Kit. I trimmed off the edges to give it a more organic, less controlled look! Behind the die cut pieces, I added a subtle pop of color using the Sixteen Candles Catherine Pooler Mini-Inkpad from the February Color Kit.
On top of the die cut pieces, I used the chipboard frames from the February Main Kit to frame a piece of patterned paper from the same kit. I used six of the frames and positioned them around my sweet photo.
I then fussy cut flowers from another patterned paper to create floral clusters above and below the photo, visually traveling diagonally down the page.
I added a few more embellishments from the ephemera set in the main kit, including small flowers, a bird, a couple of butterflies, a phrase piece, and some leaves. I also used one of the vellum pieces of ephemera.
I used the alpha puffy stickers to create my title and added a bit of journaling below that. I added Nuvo drops from the November Color Kit and drops from my stash to embellish the centers of the flowers and around the clusters.
