Hello Hip Kit friends!
It’s Anya here today, and I am so excited to share my first project for Hip Kit, using the amazing August kit! For todays challenge, I followed a recipe which suggested using the following elements in my project: PL cards, Clear Stamps, Vellum Stickers, Faux Wax Seal, and Cardstock Kit. I created three cards and used pretty much all ingredients on every card. I love using PL cards on my cards. My favorite part about it is that PL cards usually have a more specific design then a piece of patterned paper of the same size. Without much effort you already have a great start.
Want to create layouts like this? Our monthly kits include coordinated papers, embellishments, and supplies to bring your scrapbook pages to life.

On my fist card I used four PL cards, where one of them was cut in a circle. It already had a great sentiment, and now all I needed to do is design around that circle. Here, I also used a number of vellum stickers, but since I wanted to add dimension to this card, I adhered them to white cardstock first, then fussy cut each sticker with scissors and adhered them to the card with foam dots.

The main PL card I chose for my second card had a white circle at the top, so I decided to cut it out and use it as a little window with elements peeking through it. Again, I adhered the PL card with foam dots to give that window more depth and added more elements with foam dots around it.

For my last card, I used a yellow PL card as my foundation and built layers on top of it. Also, I used the stamp set here for the sentiment, as well as velum stickers, which were added directly to the background this time.
As you noticed, I used fussy cut shapes from the papers in the Cardstock Kit on each card and absolutely loved it. A solid 4×6″ piece from the same coordinating cardstock was used to cover the back panel of the card for stability.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will come back again soon for more inspiration!
– XOXO, Anya.
