Hi friends!

So good to see you again! Today I would like to show you this grid design layout I created. Grid designs are great designs to go to when you don’t know how to start your layout. I decided to create a grid with 4 rectangles and I’m using the August cardstock kit and the August main kit.

I used the two blues from the Cardstock. I used the solid for the honeycomb die cut and the lemon (or orange) back for the layers. I must say, this month the back of the Cardstock is sooo pretty!

I’ve torn the papers. I’ve torn them with the opposite side facing me while tearing so that the white will be on the back.

 

I layered the papers with some yellow peaking from underneath them. Then I layered the honeycomb on top and stitched all of the 4 elements. I always love to add a little stitching, it creates more structure and I simply love how it looks!

So, the August kits are so unbelievably gorgeous! As you might know by now, I love to use some mixed media on my pages. For the background I used the August color kit. It has this amazing lemon (or orange haha) stencil. I used both of the Distress Oxides in the stencil that are in the kit. After that, I stamped over the stencil with the squeezed lemon oxide to mellow it down a bit. And have you seen those layered stickers in the August embellishment kit?? It might be weird to use them everywhere, but I sure would love to!

I fuzzy cut the Hello Summer from the Hello there paper as a title. I fits the layout perfectly. I finished it all with the clear shapes from the embellishment kit and the puffy stickers. The kit is full of such amazing embellishments, it was hard to choose!

I really like how this one turned out, I love the summer colors in the kits! I hope you like it and got some inspiration out of it!
