Hi Hip Kit fans! It’s Natsuko Suzuki here sharing a mixed media layout using the 2023 July Hip Kits. Here is my layout.

I chose the Frond Paper from the July Paper kit for the background. Then I painted a big square in the middle with white gesso. After it had dried, I used all three colors (magical powders) from the July Color Kit and painted randomly on the gesso. I also splattered the inks around the painted square.
Because the background is colorful, I decided to die cut the July Tropical Layered Flower Die Set and the July Tropical Leaves Metal Die Set with white cardstock.
I pulled out two cards from the Pocket Life Cards, cut one to mat the photo and folded the other in half. I adhered an extra photo inside.
I stamped on the card with the July Pocket Stamp Set with black ink and decorated it with Mini Puffy Shape Stickers. After I poked holes in the middle of the tropical leaves, I hand-stitched them with white thread. I cut a little bit from each side of the paper and layered the Paradise Blue Cardstock. Then I added chain-stitching for a little more interest.
By adding white to a colorful background, it won’t be too busy. I wrote the journal inside the card and finished the layout.
