I was inspired by the pretty feathers in the kit to create a dreamcatcher style layout. I imagined the feathers dangling from the moon.

Firstly, I used texture paste through the June Color kit stencil – a mix of small stars and sparkles. After it dried, I pulled out some Shimmerz to co-ordinate with the elements I will use – Beets Me and Golden Wheat, also from past color kits. I concentrated on creating colour flowing down the page as if it had dripped down. I used light strokes with a round brush.
To create more feathers, I painted with the Shimmerz onto white card. After they had dried, I drew ‘feather’ shapes over the colour. They are very easy to draw.
To enhance the cut file flower cluster I tucked in the beautiful acetate leaves. The title is placed on one of the sweet banner stickers from the Embellishment kit.
I felt that there was too much white space horizontally, so trimmed the background to add a strip of patterned paper to the right of the main layout. I ruffled ribbon between the layers and tucked in a flower from the April kit. To finish, I sprinkled gold stars from the Main kit and gold Nuvo drops.
