Hi, Hippies! It’s Jana Eubank. I am totally in love with the June 2023 Hip Kits! Although I’m not an outdoorsy person, I LOVE the outdoors! Take me on a drive through the mountains and I am a happy girl. The June Kits feature lots of outdoor phrases and icons, but also include beautiful florals that work well for everyday memories, too.
Today I am sharing my first layout with the June 2023 Hip Kits. I used the Fringe Border die to create pine tree embellishments for my page. Watch the video below to see how!
ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH RE-CREATION
While on a road trip through Colorado with his dad, my son recreated the photo on John Denver’s Rocky Mountain High album cover. I thought it would be fun to feature both photos using the June 2023 ‘Free Spirit’ Hip Kits on this layout.
Of course, I had to add a mountain to this page! I fussy-cut the mountain scene from the ‘Let’s Go Walking’ paper, trimming off the pink and purple arches, and then, trimming down the orange arch to fit the space at the top of my page. This took some piecing together, but once the page is under a sheet protector, the viewer won’t really notice all the cuts that I made.
I used the Fringe Border die to create my rustic pine tree embellishments using the Cardstock Kit. (These trees would work great for holiday pages, too!) Below the trees I created an embellishment cluster to the left of the title by layering a couple of Fabric Stickers (June Main Kit) over a die-cut (June Main Kit).
My long title was created using the Puffy Alphabet Stickers from the June Main Kit and the Taylor Alphabet Die with the Cardstock Kit (Vacay Orange, Cave Dive Blue, and Destiny Aqua papers). The right side of the title is adorned with another Fringe Pine Tree and a teepee die-cut accented with chipboard pieces (June Embellishment Kit).
As always, Hip Kit Club knocked it out of the park with the June Kits! Be sure to grab yours TODAY before they are gone forever.
