Let’s Create with Cutfiles

Hello! I am excited to share a new layout I made featuring the April 2023 Hip Kits and a beautiful April Cutfile – Rainbow Scallops! Be sure to check out the process video linked below! XO-Sarah

I started by using some beautiful colors on the background from past Color Kits – Nuvo Mica Mist in Turkish Rose, Shimmerz Paints Inklingz in Can’t Elope, and Shimmerz in Sunny.

I cut the Rainbow Scallops cutfile at 11.5 x 11.5 inches. I used three of the rows of scallops from the cutfile, and I inked them with Catherine Pooler inks from the recent Color Kits (It’s a Girl, Bellini, and Sixteen Candles). I then layered on the Winter White Nuvo Glacier Paste from a recent kit to the pink and orange scallops, and I added the purple Pixie Wings Nuvo Glacier Paste from the April Color Kit to the purple scallops. This gave those scalloped layers a beautiful shade of color with a pop of shimmer and shine!

I then added layers of patterned paper from the April Main Kit between the scalloped layers. I tore the edges of the patterned papers and roughed them up a little with my edge distressing tool. These layers are all centered in the middle of the layout and acted as a shelf for my photos.

I then added clusters of embellishments around the photos! I used paper and fabric flowers from the April Kits as well as circles I punched out of one of the April patterned papers. I added lettering from the Project Life Kit for my title and several pieces of ephemera around the page.

I finished the layout by adding Nuvo Drops to the centers of my flowers and around the clusters. I love how this turned out!
