Hey there. I hope you have had a great week. I have been creating with the April Kits and in particular, the stunning Color Kit and gorgeous stamps to create a stunning, soft backgroud.
I diluted inks with water which I then applied to the cardstock with a brayer. I used a combination of pink and lilac inks to give a very soft painterly feel.

Next I stamped text onto the background using lilac in and the The Newsprint Texture Stamp. I love the effect it created.
To add even more detail, I used the April stencil and Nuvo Glimmer Paste (Pixie Wings) to add a shimmer around my photo and main cluster. It’s so pretty!
I fussy cut flowers – picking these because of the newsprint details on the flowers and leaves. The tape measure stamp is gorgeous!
I love the cluster at the top of the photo – I layered chipboard, tag and fabric label – I love the mix of textures.
Finally I created the title from the April main kit and March Pocket Life kit – I love the way they co-ordinate!
