LET’S TRY SOMETHING NEW – FOLDED PAPER HEARTS – ANKE KRAMER – FEBRUARY 2023 HIP KITS

Hi everyone, Anke here with a new layout inspiration for Hip Kit Club, featuring the gorgeous February Hip Kits. I got the assignment to scrap lift a layout designed by one of our team members and I chose this beautiful layout created by Mary-Ann Maldonado.

And here you can see mine:

And since Sunday is our Technique Focus Day, I made some folded paper hearts.

First I cut the background for my photo using the “Woven Background” metal die from December and white cardstock. Then I fussy cut flowers fro the Hip Kit Club Exclusive – Always & Forever – Send Her Flower’s paper. I cut a strip from the Hip Kit Club Exclusive – Always &bForever – Can’t Get Enough paper and rolled it on one end.

Then I used the “February 2023 Hoop & Floral” metal die and cut a frame for my photo and some leaves and flowers from the Hip Kit Club Exclusive – Essential Solids – Lilac, Petal and Sea Foam papers, which are included in the February Cardstock Kit.

Then I placed my photo on the “Woven Background” die cut, arranged the flowers around the photo and added some die cuts from the exclusive “Always & Forever Cardstock Ephemera” pack, which is included in the February Main Kit.

Then I made some folded hearts. Therefore I took a paper strip, cut off a bit to get semicircular ends, seamed and folded the paper strip, bent it in the middle and sticked the ends together. There’s a process video on the Hip Kit Club YouTube channel where you can see how I made the hearts. You’ll find the link at the end of this post.

Before I adhered the hearts I pierced holes and added some hand stitching.

Finally I added some of the “Always & Forever – Puffy Heart Stickers”, which are included in the February Embellishment Kit.

I really like how the layout turned out and I hope you like it too.

Here is the link to my Process video:

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Have a great day.

Anke xx
