Hello Hip Kit Friends.

Karlla here and I’m so happy to share a new layout with you.

“May 2022 Hip Kits” is so inspiring. I chose to work with the ink pads of “May 2022 Color” for my layout base. Creating a Mixed Media reminiscent of a beautiful sunset.

I love this effect and how to give a unique style to the project. You need to waterproof the cardstock with gesso. After dry, I applied the two stamps directly to the cardstock where I wanted to create the effect. soon after, with water and brush, I was doing the effect and mixing the colors. Let it dry and it’s ready to finish the layout.

I left the cardstock a little smaller than the base paper and then made a seam around to give a beautiful detail. In the “May 2022 Embellishment Kit“, you will find the beautiful “Jen Hadfield Live & Let Grow – Clear Stamps”. I stamped it in the same colors I used for the background. I sewed them in the center and let the edges loose. I love that effect.

for embellishments, I chose to use the “May 2022 Pocket Life and May 2022 Embellishment Kit“. Finally, I wrote a journaling on the layout. I love these details with this style of mixed media.
