Hello everyone! Today I am sharing some cards with envelopes I created with the January 2022 Hip Kits. I created one card with envelope, and the other one is an all-in-one card that has room for some extra goodies.

Want to create layouts like this? Our monthly kits include coordinated papers, embellishments, and supplies to bring your scrapbook pages to life.
For the first card, I started with the HKC Essentials January 2022 Cardstock Kit to create the card bases and the envelopes. I used the HKC Exclusive stitching template included in the January 2022 Color Add-On Kit to add some stitched fireworks to my card. Next, I added the sentiment using words that I die cut with the Hip Kit Club Kaleidoscope Metal Dies Then I combined these with a pieces of ephemera & a couple clear phrase stickers from the Embellishment Add-On Kit. There are so many amazing products in these kits!

For the second card I created the base of my envelope first. Then I used one of the Hip Kit Club Nested Circle Metal Dies to cut a large circle to use as the flap for my envelope. I picked one of the chipboard stickers from the January 2022 Embellishment Add-On Kit To give it some extra dimension, I added some foam adhesive on the back as well as a long piece of string to create the closure for my envelope.

Next, I cut a piece of vellum to fit the inside of the envelope. I used my trusty sewing machine to create a pocket. I chose two cards from the Pocket Life Kit to put inside the vellum pocket. One for was for a personal message, and the “a new chapter” card was used as the sentiment. I thought it worked perfectly for a birthday card.
Eventually, I decided to create a little balloon embellishment with a tiny cornflower using the Kaleidoscope Die set once again. I love these dies so much! I painted a small popsicle stick with the Shimmerz Inklingz from the Color Add-On Kit so that it would coordinate well. Next, I added a balloon die cut to both sides of the popcicle stick. Then I layered the little flowers & a puffy sequin sticker to the balloon. To finish it off, I looped some thread around the flower to give it a pretty detail and some extra texture. I love how it turned out and I hope you do too!

I love to send and receive snail mail. I hope you feel inspired to create a some cards for the special people in your lives. Thanks for joining me today. I will see you again soon! xx, Melanie
