Hello Hip Kit friends, Anke here with a new layout inspiration featuring the January 2022 Hip Kits. As you may have noticed, some things have changed here at Hip Kit Club. On Sunday we now focus on techniques and today I’ll show you how I added texture and dimension to my layout using the colors and stencils which are included in the January Color Kit.

 

 

I applied  modeling paste on a  palette paper, added color and mixed it. You can use color sprays, watercolors  and acrylic paint. Then I applied the colored paste on a piece of cardstock using the stencil from the January Color Kit and let it dry.

When the paste was dry I cut out hexagons in different sizes using the Nested Hexagon Metal Die Kit. I arranged all these hexagons on my layout and adhered them. Some of the hexagons are adhered with foam pads to add dimension.

 

 

Then I used the dies to cut hexagon-shaped photos.

 

 

The title of my layout is a combination of two puffy word stickers which you can find in the January Pocket Life Kit and alphabet stickers from the January Main Kit. The cute tassel is also a puffy sticker.

 

 

I continued embellishing my layout with die cuts from the ephemera pack which is included in the January Main Kit,  some floral die cuts from the January Embellishment Kit and two flowers which I cut out using a die from the  Kaleidoscope Metal Die Kit. The butterfly and the typewriter are from the cardstock stickers pack which is included in the January Pocket Life Kit. Some of the embellishments are also adhered with foam pads to add dimension.

 

 

Finally I added some  puffy sequins.

 

 

 

I had so much fun creating my first spring layout and I love how it turned out.
