Hi crafty friends! Michelle here on the Hip Kits Blog today. I am happy to show you my new layout that I created using the gorgeousHip Kit 2022 January Kits.
I felt like combining several cut files, so I edited two of the January cut files. I cut out the beautiful flower frame twice and reduced the lovely stacked cups to just one cup.
Want to create layouts like this? Our monthly kits include coordinated papers, embellishments, and supplies to bring your scrapbook pages to life.

First, I created the background. To do this, I used a brush to apply the Shimmerez Winters Mist over the stencil included in the Hip Kits Color Kit from January 2022. I love the beautiful shimmer of the color after it dries.
While the paint was drying, I outlined the cup with stitches and backed the flower Cut Files with different papers. I used the different sides of the papers to add more texture to the layout using the greater variety. I also decorated individual leaves of the flowers with the Nuvo Glitter Drops that were included in the December 2021 Hip Kit Color Kit.

After preparing the main elements, I arranged them together with the photo on my layout and added the title. I liked the sticker “Life happens, coffee helps” since my boys in the photo are busy spicing up my coffee. This is one of those moments where I think it’s best to just sit back and enjoy life. Cheers! Although the content afterwards is to be enjoyed with some caution :).
I have subsequently decorated the layout with more Embellishemnts and added some Bakers Twine from my stash. Finally, I applied generous blobs of gesso and a brush over the entire layout.
