It’s Maartje here today with a new layout for Mixed Media Monday.
I’m using the December 2021 Hip Kits and the snow globe metal die set.
I love the pastel colors in this kit!

I started by creating a light background using the Nuvo Sparkle Spray from the color kit and the packaging technique. I added some blue ink to the Nuvo glacier paste to create a light blue paste to put trough my stencil. I love the snowflakes on the background. Since the glacier paste is clear, you can give it any color you want.

I backed 3 of the chipboard frames with vellum. I turned the fourth frame into a shaker pocket.
I love to use photo frames as a layer on my background. You don’t always have to fill them with only photos.

I’ve used the chipboard word Cozy as my title, and added the little “so” from the Snow Globe metal die set. I’ve created a few clusters with some floral ephemera and some fussy cut flowers.  I’ve also used the small snowflake to add to my layers.

To finish the layout I’ve added some white splatters with acrylic paint and the sparkly Nuvo drops from the color kit.
You can’t see them that well on the photo because they dry clear. But in real life, it adds some extra detail.
I really enjoy working with these pastel colors. Perfect for winter photos!
