WEEKLY CHALLENGE | JENNIFER RAMBERT | DECEMBER 2021 HIP KITS

Hi Creative Friends, Jennifer here today with you to bring you my new layout featuring the December 2021 kits for the Friday Weekly Challenge, which is a challenge on the  Moodboard  of the month. Here is my page:

And here is the beautiful Moodboard:

So I focused on the main colors of this Moodboard  namely blue and orange yellow. And then the image with the Hot Cocoa really inspired me also for the choice of my photo and for the decoration.

To start, I chose the “Snow Angel” pattern paper and tore the four edges to have a smaller square. I also made lunges for a more unstructured effect that I really like. I then coated this  patterned paper with clear Gesso so that I could add ink. And I stuck it on the “Night Sky” patterned paper in the center.

I applied orange ink, diagonally, making areas without trying to do something perfect. I used Lindy’s  “Mango Mania” ink for this. I then prepared the photo and I just added a blue card from the Pocket Life kit and pieces of cardboard to bring volume once glued to the center of my page, on the area.

For the decoration, I used Cinnamon sticks that I placed on either side of the photo. I made two circles using the set of Dies “Big Chill” with the orange cardstock which is in the Cardstock kit and four “doily” with a white cardstock then I inserted them under the photo, on the Cinnamon sticks (buy in a Hobby shop). On top of that I added Floral Die Cuts keeping the blue/orange color combo. You can also find several small things like Tab Die Cuts stamped with old Roller Stamps, Chipboard Mini Phrase, Chipboard Stickers, Mixed Die Cuts,… And some star anise (buy in a Hobby shop).

I also added at the top left and bottom right of my page, Tabs that I inserted between the two pattern papers then I created the title using the Chipboard “Hello,” and the Die “Amazing” with the Blue cardstock which is in the Cardstock kit then the Die Cut “Cozy” and the Chipboard “Days”. And I finished by splattering Gesso to bring light and to harmonize it all and splattering black ink to bring contrast.

Here is more close-up :

Thanks for stopping by and I hope this layout inspires you for the weekend !

See you soon…

Jennifer
