Hello paper lovers,
So happy to see you back on the HKC blog today!
It’s almost Christmas and can’t wait for it! The coziness, decorating the house, being together with the family. I look forward to it every year. But I am starting to decorate my first Christmas layout with the beautiful November 2021 kit from HKC.
I liked the idea of making baubles out of the designer paper and then attaching them with wire and eylets so it looks like they are hanging on my page. I cut six circles from the design paper, stitched them and glued together. At the top I attach an eyelet. I also cut the photo of my daughter into a circle and glue it onto a circle.
I place the the circles on my white cardstock paper and start decorating. It’s main kit only today so I only use embellishments from the main kit. There is so much in there that I have a hard time choosing which die-cuts and wood veneer to use on my layout. I start with fussy cutting the flowers from the design paper and make clusters under the baubles.
Then I placed different die-cuts on top of the baubles and add different wood veneer elements in between. I’m starting to get all into the Christmas spirit right now because of all the beautiful Christmas colors and decorations on my layout. I make three more small 3D baubles with my 1 inch circle punch and placed them on different spots on my layout. The assignment for today is, use a non Christmas product from a previous kit. I chose the wooden buttons from the July 2021 Hip kits. These fit perfectly on a Christmas layout.
Finally, I make pretty red splatters with the dye ink from the November 2021 color kit. Love how that worked out. Of course I also splatter with the white acrylic paint for a snow effect. I hope I have been able to inspire you with this Christmas layout and wish you all a merry Christmas and of course a lot of scrapbook fun with this beautiful Christmas kit from the HKC.
