Hi everyone!
My name is Maartje, I’m 34 years old and I live in the Netherlands with my 5 year old daughter Bodine. I’m honored to be a new member of the HipKitClub Design Team. This is going to be my first blog post, so I’m very exited!
I’m using the august main kit only today, and I had lots of fun creating this layout.
The first thing that caught my eye was the Vicki Boutin – Color Study design paper with all the gorgeous flowers. I just couldn’t resist fussy cutting for a little while… I saved the pink flowers for a different project and only used the yellow, orange and black & white ones for this layout.
The green leaves add some extra pop of color. And of course I curled up all the edges to create some dimension.

I mounted my photo on some yellow and black & white design paper and raised it up on foam tape. Some of the flowers are behind the photo and some of them are on top. This will create some great layers.
I used some foam stickers and ephemera from the main kit to decorate my flowers. The Prima Marketing Crystals will give something sparkly the flowers.
To create my title I used the big orange foam alphas from the kit. That orange color is a perfect match to the flowers. And I love big titles on my layouts!
Some splatters in black, white and green to finish off the layout.
