It’s Katarina back with another layout, this time using the gorgeous July 2021 Pocket Life Kit only.

 

 

Since I first opened my box with July kits, one of my absolute favorites were the Luggage Tags from the Pocket Life Kit. I love everything about them! And I wanted to use them in a big way.

 

 

I wanted to document a story of our flight to Turkey and how my beautiful new pastel yellow suitcase came out of the plane with a totally changed look, full of black smudges. And for this purpose the Luggage Tags were just perfect! I added eyelets of various sizes and colors and twine and used them behind my photos together with a couple of PL cards.

 

 

I loved the PL card with the “Wild Ride” on it and wanted it to be my title, but I also wanted to use the colorful PL card so much! And then an idea hit me. I used the pink card to poke holes to the other one and then I hand stitched the title with a white embroidery thread. I love the result!

 

 

 

I didn’t use too many other embellishments as the tags made my layout already pretty busy. I added a couple of puffy stickers, the chipboard tabs behind my photos, chipboard arrows pointing at my photos.

 

 

I used one of the tags as a journaling spot. Next I tore thin stripes of a red PL card and machine stitched them at the top and bottom of my layout, adding more texture. As a finishing touch I added lots of black ink splatters.
