Hi scrappy friends!
It’s Katarina back with you with a brand new inspiration for this week’s moodboard challenge. For my layout I used the gorgeous exclusive July 2021 kits.
Here’s the beautiful August moodboard created by Melissa.
And this is my layout.
I started with one of the subtle patterned papers from the exclusive Flourish collection as my background. I used a bunch of the Clear Mixed Media Stickers that I placed on the background paper under my main cluster.
I put my photo in one of the gorgeous circular frames from the Embellishment Kit and added four more, backing some of them with the acetate mandalas from the Main Kit, one with a paper with a subtle pattern and leaving one empty. They add so much interest and I love the layered look.
I fussy cut some black and white shapes from another patterned paper. They went perfectly with the fun photo of my husband in our new inflatable donut. I hand stitched the centers of some of the floral ones with embroidery thread to add some detail and texture and scattered some of the small flowers here and there.
For my title I used a huge puffy sticker from the Main Kit combined with the orange puffy alphabet from the Pocket Life Kit. The palm tree and sun die cuts went perfectly with it.
I added some more die cuts, a camera puffy sticker and some circular embellishments. Also, I added black and teal splatters.
I decided to tear the background paper from both sides, I curled it a bit to display the pretty color and pattern from the other side and backed it with another gorgeous patterned paper. I love how it added another pop of color.
Finally, I added a little cluster in the bottom right corner to make the layout more balanced.
