Hello Hip Kit friends !
It’s Sophie with you on the blog today ! I have a new mini-album to share !
My assignment today was to use my punches or dies in a clever way. I decided to use these rectangle scalloped dies from Pinkfresh Studio to build my mini-album.
Everything you will see in this album comes from the June 2021 Hip Kits.
I was first driven by those gorgeous Pocket Life cards. I love their color scheme and decided to take them as a base to build my album.
With the smaller rectangle die, I incorporated a beautiful little shaker tag in my album. I cut two identical pieces of white cardstock from the die, created a plastic pocket (made out of a plastic packaging) and adhered them all together. It’s a nice simple addition to the album !
I created each page of the album, two sided, with white cardstock, the scalloped rectangles, the Pocket Life cards and some patterned papers, as shown here:
I assembled them together with some planner discs. I decided to print all my photos in black and white, this way I new that they would stand out well and not compete with the pages of the album.
Then, I decorated each side of each page of the mini-album. I used stickers, ephemeras, enamel dots, cardstock stickers, etc. All from the June Main kit, Embellishment kit and Pocket Life kit.
On the cover of the album, I used a piece cut out of a Pinkfresh Studio Happy Blooms patterned paper named « Homegrown » (June Paper Kit) I added a HKC Exclusive Delightful Fabric Bow and a HKC Exclusive Delightful Vellum Butterfly with Foil Accents (both from the June Embellishment kit).
Here are each of the pages in the mini-album, with a few close-ups:
This was SO FUN to create !!! You can make your own mini-album in a very simple way just like I did today. If you don’t have those small discs, you can use metal rings or simply punch holes and use beautiful ribbons to tie everything together !
I hope this was inspiring for you, thank you so much for stopping by !
I will see you again soon !
Sophie xx
