Product focus layout using punches | Vicki Parker

Hello everyone, it’s Vicki here today to share my latest layout using the fabulous June kits and focusing on the cloud stencil that comes in the June Color Kit.

I wanted to make a super big cloud out of border punched paper, so I hand drew a cloud following the shape of one of the clouds on the stencil and cut it out of plain paper. I then punched some strips of paper and vellum using two different border punches and laid them across the cloud shape, stuck them down with double sided tape and re-cut the shape. I used my sewing machine to stitch along some of the paper strips to add some extra texture.

I used the stencil then to draw three clouds onto matching patterned paper and cut them out. I distressed the edges a little to add some more dimension and used foam to adhere them to the page. Using the Pocket Life kit, I cut some words from some of the cards and used another to back the photo.

I also used some of the fabulous exclusive die cuts, chipboard flair and a fabric bow to embellish further.

The Pinkfresh Studio enamel dots were perfect to add an extra touch and went well with the nuvo embellishment mousse which I watered down and used to add splatters all over the large cloud.

Finally, my title uses the wonderful exclusive alpha from the June kits – it’s one I’ll come back to time and again I think!

I do hope I’ve given you some inspiration for using your punches – until next time, Vicki x
