Hi scrappy friends!
Katarina back with you, this time bringing some mixed media inspiration using the June 2021 Kits for the first time.

I started with a white cardstock, which I cut half an inch smaller. I then used the blue and yellow Nuvo Embellishment Mousse from the Color Kit combined with a darker blue mousse from my stash. With a pallet knife I applied the mousses on the top edge of my layout and in the corners, creating some color variation and depth by combining the colors. Once it dried, I used a stencil from the January Color Kit (still available) and applied the mousse again in a couple of stripes.

Our design team prompt for today was to use our punches in a clever way, it inspired me to use two of my border punches to create some self made dimensional trees. You can see how I made them in the video below.

I have also used the stencil from June Color Kit together with the blue mousse to create some clouds which I then combined with the cloud die cuts included in the Main Kit.

I used three photos of my hubby and son hiking in our beautiful High Tatras mountains. I created a pocket using one of the Pinkfresh Studio journaling bits and added a card from the same package for my journaling. I have placed my photos over the pocket popped up with a 3D foam.

For my title I combined the gorgeous exclusive Chipboard Words stickers and the yellow puffy alphabet – I love the result!

I used a couple of embellishments here and there. One of them was the gorgeous vellum butterfly. TIP: while trying to adhere the butterfly on my layout with no success I found out that these butterflies are actually stickers. If you don’t want to stick them flat and want to keep their translucent effect, just stick them to some vellum and fussy cut them out as I did with mine here, after I stopped recording my video š
I used the beautiful exclusive black and white paper to frame my layout and called it done. This is the final result. I really love how it turned out!

You can watch me create it in my process video below.
Thank you for stopping by friends. Hope I inspired you in some way today and wish you a wonderful and crafty day!
xx Katarina
