MOODBOARD CHALLENGE | SUMMER LAYOUT | by Sonja Voigt

Hello and welcome to a new blog post about the Sunday Challenge. Today everything revolves around the June mood board and summer and sun. But the mood board also creates a lot of fun and anticipation for the next few weeks and hopefully a great summer. But today there will still be a special task – we will get creative and will not use chipboard words or alphabet stickers as we will find in the kit.

Once again I decided on a 9×12 inch layout. And for circles, I love circles and almost always think they work. Or what do you mean?

I used various utensils from my kitchen for this. Plates, cups, bowls and scissors. It doesn’t take more to create circles of different sizes.

With my piercer tool I then pre-punched the holes and embroidered the circles with two different threads by hand.

I cut out the butterflies from one of the papers from the kit and glued them to the circles with adhesive dots.

And now to our special task for today – we are aging the words or letters from our kits. I experimented a bit and then decided on the following variant – first I painted the letters with white gesso. I did the whole thing twice so that the gesso covers nicely. Then I found Nuvo Glitter Paste in my store. I applied this to the letters in a thin layer, please let the gesso dry well beforehand.

So and now there is the whole layout.

I hope I was able to give you a little inspiration and now I wish you a nice and sunny weekend.
