Travelers Notebook – Kira Ness

Hey there!  It’s Kira and I am back with two new TN layouts using my June Hip Kits.  Here’s a look at my first layout:

This layout is all about my early bird son, so it seemed fitting to add a sun to my layout.  Since I had a specific vision in mind, I decided to rotate my layout to fit my needs.

Want to create layouts like this? Our monthly kits include coordinated papers, embellishments, and supplies to bring your scrapbook pages to life.

I started by cutting out my sun using papers from the Cardstock Kit and the Paper Kit.  I cut the papers on my Cricut using the basic shapes provided.  But this could also easily be done by hand.

My journaling was typed in Word, and printed on white cardstock.  I added the title using the alphas included in the Pocket Life kit (who else needs these in every color?!).

I added an embellishment cluster above my photo using embellishments from the Embellishment Kit and PL Kit.

And done!  Now onto my next layout:

I started this layout by pulling out the blues and purples from the Paper Kit.  I wanted to play off the colors in the photo.

Then I used embroidery floss to add 7 threads up and down my page.  I cut three of the patterned papers to 1/2″ strips and wove them through the thread.

I adhered my photo directly on top of the woven papers and built an embellishment cluster with items from the PL and Embellishment Kits.

On the reverse page, I typed up my journaling in Word.  Then I added my title using the blue version of the same alphas I used in my previous layout (seriously, I need these in EVERY color!).

I added an embellishment cluster below the journaling and DONE!

Thanks for stopping by!

Kira
