June Moodboard | Oh Happy Day | Morag Cutts

Hi friends.  Today I have used the lovely June moodboard by Kerstin  Scheidler for my latest layout.  There are cool tones as well as rainbow colours  which I’m completely obsessed about at the moment. I have used the May kits to create a layout full of colour and texture!

The May kit is filled with gorgeous patterns which I absolutely adore.  In order use lots of patterns and add texture, I created this gorgeous fringed border.  I used fringing scissors – mine are multi-bladed scissors which are designed to shred paper.

I layered the papers down the right hand side grouping them by colour so there wasn’t a big clash of patterns.

The fringed border is so tactile!  I finished off my edge with a punched border to keep things neat.

The stunning Wonders die cut florals and birds are from the May Embellishment kit.  The florals are bright and large so I layered them together and tucked some behind the photos so they weren’t too overpowering.  I love the brights against the pastel papers.

I also popped some puffy stickers from the same collection onto some of the flower centres (May Pocket Life kit).  It’s a good idea to curl up the petals and leaves for added dimension.

My title is the Happy Day Thickers also from the May Pocket Life kit.  The fun phrases are small enough to set in a shape.

To finish off I added a sprinkle of the amazing resin heart stickers – Garden Party – May Embellishment kit.

I love how this layout came together.  I do hope that you also like this fringed technique and will also give it a try.

Thanks for stopping by!
