Hi everyone! Kerstin here today sharing my mixed media Monday layout using the magical February 2021 Hip Kits.
The base is from the “Heartfelt” collection the B-Side of the paper “Love Connection”. I took white cardstock from the Cardstock Kit and cut it in the shape you see in the photo. Then I mixed the Vibez “Razzledazzle Berry” from the Color Kit with white acrylic paint – added a little water – but not much! – and then with the help of an old packaging bag of Embellishments pressed onto the white paper and let dry.

After drying, I again pressed some of my mixture with the help of the plastic on the dried to strengthen the color again and to achieve a gradient. Immediately after that, I sprayed some of the Vibez on and lightly spread it with a thin brush and let it dry again. Lastly, I sprayed some Vibez on the edges and spread it by waving the paper.
After my mixed media base dried, I arranged the embellishments. STOP – before that I put the really great watercolor clear stickers from the Embellishment Kit onto white paper and cut them with my sccissors out. I usually do this with stickers, because for me they are then easier to arrange on the layout.
For decorating I chose some exclusive Die Cuts and a few Pinkfresh Studio pieces from the Embellishment Kit.
I am so happy with the layout – I love the great colors, words and especially the watercolor stickers! Especially the saying “SMILE you are beautiful” goes great with my daughter’s picture.
