MOOD BOARD INSPIRED LAYOUT – Anke Kramer

Hi everyone, Anke here with a new layout featuring the gorgeous February Kits. Today’s layout is inspired by this beautiful mood board, created by Jana McCarthy.

I decided to focus on the black and white stripes and the wheel with the flower cluster.

So I took a paint brush and black acrylic paint and painted some black stripes on my cardstock . I also added black color splatters and then my background was finished.

While the paint was drying I created a wheel. I cut out a ring from cardstock and then winded pink twine around it. Then I fussy cut lots of flowers and leaves from the Pinkfresh Studio – Some Days – What a Day paper.

I glued the wheel on the striped background, decorated it with a cluster of fussy cut flowers and then added my photo. I chose more embellishments like a die cut phrase and the cute bird die cut (both included in the February Embellishment Kit). To add dimension I used foam pads to adhere the die cuts.

I also added one of the chipboard flairs, which you can find in the February Main Kit and another phrase sticker for the title.

I continued embellishing the layout with some of the clear mini phrase stickers, which are included in the February Pocket Life Kit, some floral die cuts and some of the Simple Stories  decorative brads ( both included in the February Embellishment Kit).

The cute dog on the photo is Louis , our Briard. I took the photo in March 2016, when he was 5 months old.

Here is my finished layout. I hope you like it and feel inspired to get out your kits and create a mood board inspired project too. Thanks for stopping by today.

Anke xx
