Katarina back with another inspiration. Today, for the first time, using the gorgeous February Kits. It’s cut file Tuesday which means I enjoyed some fun with one of the newest March cut files and I also played with mixed media. Let’s have a look.

I started with cutting one of the March cut files on my Cameo. If the March cut files aren’t on the website yet, I’m sure they will be very soon. I cut the cut file multiple times, in white for the outline, then I used two different patterned papers to back the letters and finally I offset the cut file in my Silhouette Studio and cut it in the beautiful wood grain paper to back the whole cut file.
I used the Tickle me Turquoise and Razzledazzle Berry Shimmerzpaints from the February Color Kit to create my background, I mixed them to get different tones of blue and added a lot of splatters. I also used the Mixed Media Clear Stickers from the Embellishment Kit to add to my background.
I positioned the cut file in the bottom part of my layout and added my black and white photo up above it, backed with a 4×6 PL card from the Pocket Life Kit.
Next I created three main and one smaller clusters using various embellishments and fussy cut elements from the Main, Embellishment and Pocket Life Kits.
I finished off my layout by trimming a part of my background paper, adhering it to the Pinkfresh Studio patterned paper and machine stitching around it. And here’s is my final layout.
